Patience Jonathan’s visit to the former governor’s residence was her second public appearance, and coincidentally another condolence visit after her initial call at the Awolowo’s family residence in Ikene, Ogun state, recently.

PM News reports that she walked straight to where the deceased’s widow, sat with other sympathisers, to express her grief.

And in the condolence register, she wrote: “Daddy, on behalf of my , former and the entire family members, we mourn you so dearly.

“We are in shock and our hearts are full of pains. Though we cannot question God, we are saying goodbye. May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.”

, who responded to ’s message on behalf of the deceased’s family, said: “We are still in shock. For now, we have not believed he has gone. Every time, we look at the gate and look at his room to see when he will come in.

“As a matter of fact, it was overwhelming when we saw the former . She is part of the family.”

The former governor was confirmed dead on Saturday, October 11, 2015 and many prominent Nigerians have since sent condolence messages to the family.

Governor Ayodele Fayose believes that the All Progressives Congress (APC) pushed him to his death, a statement which some Ijaw youths did not agree less with, as they claimed he died being scared of probe by the administration.
