Eden Hazard Sends A Message To Chelsea Supporters Following Tottenham Hotspur Defeat
Eden Hazard has urged that there is no need to panic following Chelsea’s dire 3-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening.
The Blues were well below par at Wembley as they stumbled to their first loss of the Premier League campaign and slipped to seven points behind Manchester City in the title race.
Maurizio Sarri’s side were also leapfrogged by Spurs in the table and will now have to bounce back in the Europa League against PAOK on Thursday night before hosting Fulham in the league on Sunday.
While the Blues put in their worst performance of the season so far at the weekend, they are still well on target to reach a Champions League place at the end of the season, and their Belgian star insists that everyone must relax a little and remember the start that they have had.
“There is no need to panic,” Hazard said. “We have been playing good football. This was just not our day.
“We have shown since the beginning of the season that we are a good team, we have the players. So no panic, just try to forget this game.
“I think everything was bad. Everyone saw after 15 minutes we conceded two goals. against Tottenham it is always going to be hard to start a game 2-0 down.
“We tried to push but it was not enough. It was a bad day, we need to move forward and try to bounce back.
“We want to go on another unbeaten run now. We want to take points. The target is to finish in the top four. In the Premier League anything can happen. Next week we can beat Fulham and other teams can lose points.”
